Our Vision
At Anchor Church, our youth ministry exists to help students grow in their faith, build meaningful relationships, and discover their identity in Christ. Whether they’re asking big questions, new to church, or ready to go deeper in their walk with Jesus, this is a place where teens can show up as they are and feel seen, known, and valued.
Nautilus (9th-12th)
Nautilus comes from the Greek word for “sailor,” and that’s what we’re doing together—navigating the uncharted waters of youth with Jesus as our guide and faith as our anchor.
We’re focused on building strong relationships, making room for honest questions, and grounding our lives in Scripture. Every gathering centers around the Bible and this core question:
“What does this mean for my life today?”
We believe that teens don’t have to wait until they’re older to follow Jesus or impact the world. God wants to use them right now, right where they are.
What To Expect
Nautilus meets twice a month during the sermon (on the 1st and 3rd Sundays) after the music portion of our main service. During that time, students:
-
Connect and check in with one another
-
Dive into Scripture in small groups
-
Share insights or challenges with the larger group
Nautilus Rising (5th-8th)
Middle schoolers are in a unique season—asking bigger questions, seeking independence, and learning how to navigate real-life challenges. Nautilus Rising is designed to meet them in that space with truth, connection, and fun.
Our goal is to help students grow in their walk with Jesus while being part of a supportive and faith-filled community. Through age-appropriate teaching, small group discussion, and intentional activities, students begin building a solid foundation for the years ahead.
What To Expect
Nautilus Rising meets every week during the sermon after the music portion of our main service. Middle schoolers experience:
- Real connection with leaders and peers
- Fun moments that build trust and break the ice (without being embarrassing)
- A focus on God’s Word that helps them make sense of their everyday lives
What We Hope For
Our prayer is that every student who walks through our doors would:
Know they are loved by God and this community
Understand their identity as followers of Jesus
Grow in their faith and confidence in Scripture
Live as disciple-making disciples in the world around them
